Day 1. Saturday 29th September, 2012. AUCKLAND DEPART.
Meet your escort at Auckland airport and depart late this evening.Day 2. Sunday. BEIJING ARRIVE. (D)
Arrive Beijing this morning. Transfer to the hotel with a tour of introduction en route including some of the Olympic venues. This afternoon explore the Hutong ancient villages, Temple of Heaven, and Drum and Bell Towers.Day 3. Monday BEIJING - PYONGYANG (BD)
Visit Tian an Men Square for the flag raising ceremony on national Day if you wish. Transfer to Beijing airport and depart late morning for Pyongyang. We will be met on arrival by our local guide and transferred to the Koryo Hotel with a visit to the Mansudae Grand Monument en route.Day 4. Tuesday. PYONGYANG. (BLD)
This morning visit the Juche Tower, Monument to Party Foundation and an art studio. Lunch at a revolving restaurant before taking a ride on the Metro. We also visit the Grand People's Study House, and Children's Palace with a performance by the children.Day 5. Wednesday PYONGYANG - MT MYOHYANG (BLD)
This morning visit a film studio, Korean Art Gallery, and Mangyongdae Native House. After lunch visit Pyongyang Maternity school, June 9th Secondary School, and the War Museum and monuments. Drive to Mt Myohyang, one of the most beautiful scenic areas of North Korea and check in to hotel Hyangsan or similar.Day 6. Thursday MT MYOHYANG - PYONGYANG (BLD)
Visit the International Friendship exhibition, Pohyon temple, and you have time to trek among the beautiful scenery, waterfalls, and lakes in Manpok valley. Return to Pyongyang and the Koryo Hotel with a visit to the USS Pueblo en route.Day 7. Friday PYONGYANG - Nampo excursion (BLD)
Drive to Nampo with a visit to a cooperative farm and Taekwando school. Lunch in nampo and visit a local orphanage and see the West Sea Barrage. Return to Pyoingyang and this evening enjoy the spectacle of the Mass games.Day 8. Saturday PANMUNJOM EXCURSION (BLD)
Our full day tour takes us to Kaesong including a visit to the Panmunjom demilitarised area (Subject to approval on the day), Koryo museum, and Tomb of King Wanggon.Day 9. Sunday PYONGYANG (BLD)
This morning you have the option of visiting the local Protestant church or the Kumsusan Memorial Palace. This afternoon visit Fountain Park and Moranbong Hill.Day 10. Monday
PYONGYANG DEPART (BLD) Transfer to the railway station and depart mid morning by train travelling through North Korea to the Chinese border. After completing immigration formalities continue through the night. Four berth cabins (best available) provided.Day 11. Tuesday
BEIJING ARRIVE. (BLD) Arrival in Beijing is scheduled for around 8.30am. Visit the Summer Palace this morning and the Imperial Palace (Forbidden City) this afternoon.Day 12. Wednesday
BEIJING - GREAT WALL. (BLD) Full day excursion to the Great Wall at Mutianyu and the Ming Tombs including the Sacred Way and Chang Tomb. This evening a Peking Duck dinner is provided.Day 13. Thursday
BEIJING DEPART. (B) Free time until transferring to the airport for departure late morning.Optional extension for an excursion to CHENGDE or XIAN - see below

Explore the ancient ruins including Puning and Putuozongcheng Temples.
Day 15. Saturday. CHENGDE - BEIJING. (BLD)
Free time to explore at your leisure this morning and return to Beijing this afternoon.
Day 16. Sunday. BEIJING DEPART. (B)
Transfer to the airport for departure.
Day 17. Monday. AUCKLAND ARRIVE.

Thursday 11th October. BEIJING DEPART (BL)
Morning free and this afternoon visit Olympic Green and and silk market. After dinner transfer to the rail station for the overnight train to Xian. Four berth soft class sleeper cabins provided.
Friday. XIAN ARRIVE. (LD).
Arrive Xian this morning and visit the amazing Terracotta army of Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi. This afternoon visit the Grand Mosque and this evening enjoy the Tang Dynasty show
Saturday. XIAN - BEIJING (BLD)
Visit the Big Wild Goose pagoda and Han Yang tomb and late this afternoon fly back to Beijing and transfer back to your hotel.
Sunday. BEIJING DEPART. (B)
You will be transferred to the airport for departure.
Monday 15th October.
Arrive Auckland this morning.
